# 22 – Women Physician Wellness – with Dr. Erica Howe

Today we have the honor of hearing from Dr. Erica Howe, a board-certified Hospitalist, a nationally known educator, wife, and mother. Dr. Howe found herself struggling to feel supported by other medical colleagues. After realizing that she was not alone in these feelings, she founded the Women Physicians Wellness Conferences (WPW) bringing women physicians together to share their struggles and strategies for success.

Dr. Howe talks about how she created this safe space for women physicians to be vulnerable and grow together as a community to help them succeed. Dr. Arpita Gupta DePalma and Dr. Michael Hersh talk with Dr. Howe about the importance of community and having courage to share our challenges openly to build that support system.
