Ever find yourself saying, “I’m just too busy” or “I don’t have enough time”? 🙇♀️
Sometimes the problem isn’t that we don’t have enough time.
It’s that we’re spending too much of it on what feels urgent instead of what is actually important.
In a world of constant notifications, texts, emails, calls, and other people’s priorities, it’s incredibly easy to spend your entire day responding to what is demanding your attention.
But demanding your attention doesn’t automatically make something important.
The phone ringing may be urgent.
Your inbox may feel urgent.
Someone else’s drama may feel urgent.
But your health?
Your family?
Your relationships?
Your dreams?
Your peace?
Those are important.
And important things don’t always scream for your attention.
That’s why prioritizing requires intention.
Ask yourself:
What do I say matters most to me—and does my calendar actually reflect that?
If your health is a priority, maybe that means 20 minutes of movement instead of waiting for an hour-long workout to magically appear in your schedule.
If your family is a priority, maybe it means protecting precious vacation time together instead of answering one more email.
If building your dream is a priority, maybe it means saying no to something that is convenient but not aligned.
Here’s another question I love:
If you knew you had five years left, what would suddenly become more important?
And then ask yourself:
Why am I waiting to make those things a priority?
We can spend our lives responding to what feels urgent and still never get around to the things that make our lives meaningful.
You don’t need to do everything.
You need to get clear on what matters most—and then make time for it. 💜
Because if you want something you’ve never had, you may have to start doing something you’ve never done before. 🦋
