Looking at this photo of my mom and dad on their honeymoon, I’m reminded that they had no idea what their life together would eventually look like.

They were just beginning. 💜

And I think we often forget that when we’re building our own lives.
We tell ourselves we’ll be happy when we reach the next goal.

When we make more money.
When the kids are older.
When the business takes off.
When we finally feel successful enough.

But happiness doesn’t have to wait for the goal.

Goals matter. They give us direction and something to move toward. But when we tie our happiness to achieving them, we can spend our lives chasing the next milestone without ever really experiencing the life we’re creating.

That’s what I call success exhaustion—when so much of our motivation comes from external expectations, approval, or the belief that more will finally make us feel like enough.

The antidote is success alignment. 💙

Instead of asking, “What should I be achieving?”

Ask:
“What actually matters to me?”
“Why do I want this?”
“What will this make possible in my life?”
“And am I allowing myself to enjoy the life I’m living along the way?”

Because maybe the goal isn’t simply to achieve more.

Maybe it’s to build a life that feels meaningful while you’re building it.

Just like my parents were doing in this photo—one step, one adventure, one chapter at a time. 🦋
