Many of us are anticipating some relief as the school year gets underway and our daily routines start to return. We are ready to get back into that phase of life!
Maybe you have put off cleaning out your closet, or starting a new business, or learning a new hobby because this current phase has just been too busy. Paying attention to the things you want to start doing is the first step to making a change in your routine.
Give yourself grace and appreciate what you’ve accomplished in this past phase of your life. If a window of time is opening up in this next phase, allow yourself to explore what you want to pursue next. And remember, when you intentionally plan to do something differently, it will take more time to complete it as your brain learns the new ways. Don’t give up when it’s harder than you anticipated.
Notice the pattern of actions that you are wanting to change or start fresh with.
Decide to visualize yourself making the new choice or change in advance.
Repeat your new processes and be consistent.
This new routine will gradually become effortless.
