We talk a lot about making the most of our money.
But what about making the most of our time? ⏱️
Money can be earned again. Time cannot.
And one of the biggest ways we lose our time, energy, and momentum is through procrastination.
Especially when we’re growing into a new version of ourselves, procrastination can feel tempting. Sometimes it looks like laziness. But often, it’s fear.
Fear of change.
Fear of getting it wrong.
Fear of leaving what’s familiar.
Fear that what we create won’t be “good enough.”
Perfectionism only makes it worse. We wait until we feel ready. Until we have more time. Until we can do it perfectly.
Meanwhile, what we want is still waiting on the other side of action.
Here’s the truth:
You don’t have to feel like doing something in order to do it.
You can be uncomfortable and still take the next step.
You can be afraid and still move forward.
And your work doesn’t have to be an A+ to count.
Sometimes B- work that actually gets done is far more valuable than perfect work that never leaves your head.
Try reverse procrastination: Get the first 80% done as quickly as you reasonably can. Then let the momentum of having something tangible carry you through the final 20%.
And if something will take less than five minutes? Do it now.
Your future self will thank you. 💜
Because ultimately, the goal isn’t to spend our time perfectly.
It’s to spend our time well—on the people, experiences, and moments that really matter.
Your future self will thank you. 💜
