“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

As the famous quote goes, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” 💯

It blew my mind the first time I heard it, and it still seems almost magical to me.

📢 Thoughts are OPTIONAL- things our brain offers that we get to decide if we want to believe. 📢

When you understand that your thoughts influence how you feel, you realize that controlling your thoughts isn’t just an interesting psychological exercise, but an imperative part of transforming your life and being as a whole.

When you learn how to control your thoughts, you can change how you react to situations that may have previously activated you.

I chose to change the way I was thinking about some of the typical interactions I would have with my hubby, because I knew deep down that the automatic thoughts I had grown used to thinking were really false, and ultimately not serving either of us.

We all know it- there is that little voice inside that you know you should listen to (the truth teller), but over time it’s become easier, and more habitual, to react in the unproductive ways you’ve become accustomed to.

BUT- when you put in the effort and energy to change your thoughts, you get to change how you feel.

And when you change how you feel, you change how you act.

How do YOU ultimately want to show up and act in your relationships? 🎉
