Why do the people we love the most also tend to make us the most furious?

(And why do these cocktail napkins always hit the nail on the head? 🤣)

Here’s the thing- these humans aren’t making us furious- it’s what we are thinking about them or the situation that is doing it to us.

What unsaid expectations might you have of them that they are not meeting?
When you base your happiness on other people meeting your expectations, it’s a recipe for disaster. Because you will NEVER be able to control other people, and believing you can is simply giving your power away.

So how do you reclaim your superpower of remaining calm, collected in control??

Drop the expectations.
Don’t rely on other peoples’ actions to make you happy.
And if you have expectations (like with your partner and who has kid duty this weekend…), communicate them in advance to improve the chances of them being met.
Work together.
Create a “want match” so that you both succeed in your desires.
