This photo takes me back to May of 1999, the day my husband and I graduated from The College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, ready to take on the world as Drs. Michael and Arpita DePalma. We were filled with excitement, passion, and a deep drive to make a difference. @medunivsc
Today, I want to honor every physician who:
💙 Works tirelessly through long hours.
💙 Puts their patients’ needs ahead of their own.
💙 Sacrifices precious moments with loved ones.
💙 Continues to show up, day after day, no matter the challenges.
Your dedication is nothing short of heroic, and I see you.
AND- we have to start coming together to stand up for what we bring and what we are worth.
Here’s the truth: we can’t pour from an empty cup. It’s time for us, as physicians, to prioritize our well-being—starting today.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, battling compassion fatigue, or questioning your path, know this: you are not alone, and there is a way forward. I’ve helped hundreds of physicians heal.
Healing the healers has allowed me to care for others in a new way, and has been so absolutely fulfilling and gratifying for me as well as a way to give back and keep our amazing doctors doctoring.
Mindset coaching helped me reclaim the joy I felt on that graduation day. It gave me the tools to shift my perspective, rediscover my purpose, and reignite the passion that first brought me into this field.
If you’re ready to explore what’s possible with your own healing, let’s connect. 💬
