Anger doesn’t always show up the way we expect it to.
Sometimes, it’s not the big blow-up—it’s the simmering frustration that sneaks in under the surface.
Sure, there are obvious things that activate us: someone cutting you off in traffic, a rude email, a messy house after you just cleaned.
But sometimes, anger stems from something quieter.
For me, it used to be my unfinished to-do list.
When I didn’t get everything done, I’d feel this constant sense of urgency—like I was racing a clock that never stopped.
And underneath that urgency was a thought:
“I’ll get to rest and relax when I get it all done.”
That belief fed my frustration.
And before I knew it, I was snapping at my kids for simply… being kids.
I was rigid with routines, strict with expectations—all because I was trying to hold onto control where I felt I had none.
Anger often masks deeper emotions: overwhelm, fear, exhaustion, even grief.
And if we’re not aware of what’s really happening beneath the surface, we risk taking it out on the people we care about most.
The first step toward change?
Awareness.
✨ Awareness of your patterns.
✨ Awareness of your thoughts.
✨ Awareness of what your anger is trying to protect.
When you start paying attention to what’s behind the reaction, you unlock the power to respond differently—with intention, compassion, and calm.
If you’re ready to understand your activators and shift how you show up—for yourself and your relationships—I’d love to support you.
