Five years ago today… 💙
What started as a quiet nudge to do things differently in my own life in 2021 has grown into something far more meaningful than I ever imagined. These five years have been filled with growth, learning, stretching, and deep gratitude—along with moments when I questioned everything, and moments when I knew, without a doubt, that this work is exactly where I’m meant to be.
On a recent trip to India, I visited an astrologer who, without being asked, clearly outlined the professional career paths of everyone else in the room. When it came to me, he paused—and moved on to another topic.
I eventually asked him directly about my career path before the end of our meeting. He looked at me and admitted that mine was confusing and not easy for him to see.
And then he said something that stopped me.
He told me I was a good pediatrician—but that my true calling wasn’t defined by a title.
That what I was meant to do was build connection.
Help people feel heard.
Help them understand themselves.
Help them move through life with more awareness, steadiness, and intention.
And suddenly, his confusion made perfect sense.
My path has never been linear. Medicine shaped me. Management challenged and refined me. Coaching expanded me and took me to the next level.
And along the way, I realized that my greatest impact wasn’t just in treating symptoms—but in helping people regulate, relate, and lead from a grounded place.
I am endlessly grateful for every client who has trusted me with their story, their emotions, and their willingness to look inward. It is a privilege to witness transformation in real time and to walk alongside people as they learn to think, feel, and live more intentionally.
Thought Work MD is five years old today—and I am so thankful for the journey, the lessons, and the community that has made it all possible. 🦋
Here’s to what’s been…
and to what’s still unfolding.
