One of the hardest parts about being an entrepreneur is getting started. 🤔
It’s when you’re in that place where you’re ready to start the business that’s going to change people’s lives, but you don’t have any evidence yet that you’re going to be successful.
It’s easy to want to give up when you don’t see immediate results.
You start to ask whether you’re actually cut out for this and think maybe you should go back to working for someone else, doing something “safe.”
But thinking big and having big dreams is how we evolve as a species and achieve greatness in our personal lives. 💯
We wouldn’t have some of the amazing things we often take for granted if people stayed stuck in thinking small.
What seems impossible now is very often possible with time. Believing in the impossible is what changes the world for the better. 👏
Thinking big threatens our current identity, which is why it can seem so scary.
If your goal is to go from working at a job making $30k a year to working for yourself and making $100k a year, then your whole identity has to change. You stop being an employee and you start being an entrepreneur. 😮
Our brain loves to live in certainty, and when we go after big goals, it freaks our brain out, and makes us feel unsafe.
The key to success is giving up who you are now for who you want to be in the future, and getting comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. 🦋
There ARE some things you can do to ease the transition from where you are now to where you want to be:
🔹 Take your time.
Give yourself more time to meet your big goals.
🔹 Take massive action.
Continue to take action and don’t give up!
🔹 Fail forward.
Be ok with failing and learning what doesn’t work. Most successes are built on a pile of failures, so plan for at least 100 of them.
🔹 Be antifragile. Being antifragile means your mistakes and failures make you stronger. They become your fuel to keep fighting and moving forward.
