I just returned from a deeply inspirational few days at Miraval Arizona, where I was honored to be invited as a thought leader and share my work during three hot, hot, hot desert days.
I had the privilege of speaking to people who were open to fresh perspectives—and it was powerful to watch something I had once only dreamed about actually come to life.
And, as Miraval magic always seems to do, it held up a mirror for me, too.
While I was there, I realized I’d been in a bit of a funk. I’d been looping the same thought error in my mind for months. Slowly but surely, that thought had solidified into a belief—and it was shaping how I showed up more than I’d realized.
When I finally paused to reflect and rest, I was able to step back and see that I’d been carrying a quiet heaviness. Living each day from a place of worry. And it was weighing me down.
Giving myself that space—just a little room to breathe and be—I found an alternative perspective. One that felt more true. More possible. I won’t go so far as to say it’s a new belief just yet… that still feels like a stretch.
But I am shifting the thought error to:
“I am choosing to believe…”
And that simple shift? It works.
It fits where I am right now.
It feels believable.
It’s not toxic positivity or a forced mantra that my nervous system can’t get behind.
So I’ll leave you with this:
What untrue stories might your brain be playing on repeat?
Where could you invite in a more neutral—but believable—perspective that lightens the load?
Thank you, @miravalarizona and @miravalresorts, for the opportunity to share in such a meaningful way.
Until next time 🐛💜💙🦋
