Grace

In today’s busy world it can be challenging to get everything that needs doing done, while still making time for yourself. 💜

Finding a middle ground between selfishness and self-sacrifice can seem impossible at times, and we often err on the side of self-sacrifice to avoid being perceived as selfish.

Guess what?

You don’t need permission to be selfish. 🤯

We’ve been taught our whole lives that being selfish is an unbecoming trait, but perhaps it is really ultimately more GIVING to be selfish sometimes.

Good people, who consistently put the needs of others over their own, especially need to learn how to be a little bit selfish.

Self-care recharges us, so that we can give more. It refills our cup.

And, you can’t pour from an empty cup, as the saying goes. 🍶

It’s why on airplanes they tell you to put the oxygen mask on yourself first.
You can’t help anyone else if you don’t breathe and prioritize you!

You simply can’t do your best work, show up as your best self for your family or in your relationships, or create lasting positive change in the world if you’re not taking care of yourself first.

Self-care isn’t selfish. It’s essential. 🦋
