“Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”
It’s a deceptively simple question that can be surprisingly difficult to answer.
I never imagined I would be speaking at conferences to help other women physicians…
I never thought I would be working from home, creating my schedule as it best suited me, doing something I absolutely love…

When you think about how you want to FEEL 5 years from today, and choose to feel that way today, regardless of what you have or have not yet achieved, you give yourself the gift of experiencing your future dream life right now and empowering yourself to get there. 💯
While our future self can help to motivate and inspire us to work toward our goals, our past self can do quite the opposite: dragging us down with its doubts and insecurities. Telling us that because we’ve not yet accomplished our dreams, it‘s not likely to happen any time soon, if at all. 🙄
You can thank your past self for working to keep you safe, while simultaneously choosing to make decisions from a future-oriented position. From a place where you look for possibilities and opportunities, instead of reasons why you can’t have what you want. 👏
